The Department of Mathematical Sciences of Isfahan University of Technology founded in 1976, originally a part of the Basic Science Department, started its activities in order to offer services for engineering students of the University. Due to rapid growth and high activities of the faculty members, it turned to an independent Department with specialists in mathematics (both pure and applied) and statistics.
